Due to many countries petroleum rebates either being reduced or terminated throughout the world this year, we are finding that more and more governments are converting their public vehicles fuel tanks from petroleum to gas in order to save on operational costs.
As the risk of heat exposure or explosions is very high when working with gas, many of these governments are coming to Techno Kontrol so as to install our specially designed VI Generation anti explosion alloy into their new fuel tanks.
This is achieved by our TK operators installing our specially designed alloy at the final stage of the conversion process (just prior to installing the safety valve onto the cylinder).
Also as each country contains a different atmospheric condition (i.e. high or low humidity, altitude, heat/cold etc.) our R&D department has been able to manufacture and adapt our exclusive alloys so that they can both withstand and be applied in any meteorological condition.
Techno Kontrol´s new VI Generation safety alloy can also be introduced, adapted or retrofitted into any new or used gas cylinder whether it contains CNG/GLP/GNV, Propane or Butane Gas.
Due to many operators having a large amount of gas cylinders in use already it’s more viable for them to continue using these cylinders however retrofitting them with our TK-Anti explosion alloy.
The TK-Engineering team is equipped to install our alloy anywhere around the world and each cylinder takes less than 3 minutes to refill. Which means that an average operation of up to 50,000 units can be completed in less than a month, however these installation times can be increased or decreased depending on the operational requirements of the specific client.
Within all of our contracts, we provide full safety equipment, machinery and training to the respective operatives in order to complete the contract both in a safe and efficient manner.
Obviously safety is of paramount to Techno Kontrol and therefore we request that all of our clients gas cylinders (whether they are brand new or already used) must be approved/certified by both the National Safety Board of the respective country and Techno Kontrol´s prior to our engineers installing our anti explosion material.
In addition to installing our anti explosion alloy, Techno Kontrol also manufactures our own cylinders/bottles which are designed so that they cannot explode.
Our design allows for a reduction in the plates thickness which obviously reduces the cylinders/bottles weight (up to 50% less when empty and 25% when full compared to that of a traditional cylinder/bottle). This in turn also allows for an increased resistance (135 bars in Techno Kontrol´s product versus 100 bars found within traditional cylinders).
Our crown top protects the valve in such a way that it permits our cylinders/bottles transportation in both public and private vehicles (EU Regulation 99/36 and ADR). For more information please contact us.
TK-Technokontrol manufactures three main types of auto gas cylinders the cylindrical, toroidal and multi-use gas cylinders which can be used for autogas or for home or industrial use.
Autogas Cylinder
All three cylinder types comply with all EU safety Directives and the ECE ONU R67-01 Directives. In the case of the use of TK-Anti explosion Safety Alloy we can inroduce our TK-Safety Alloy into any type of gas cylinder. We recommend the application of European Union or National Saftey Standards in the manufacturing of gas cylinders anywhere in the world and an essential part of any long lasting gas cylinder is also using a good quality and tested safety valve which will only enhance the quality and safety values of the final product.
There are various sizes and capacities for autogas cylinders and depending on their usage some clientes may have several smaller size gas cylinders to fit in their available car space or even one large gas cylinder. The wheel shaped gas cylinders are a very good way of using allocated spaces to save storage capacity, however, may manufacturers have the wheel space under the vechicle which again increases the danger of explosion due to it being the first contact in the event of an rear-sided ended strick and even worse in the event of a car malfuntion, electrical, mechanical or accidental.

Testing, and Preventive Measures
Prevent deflagration explosions due to combustible dust particles, gases or vapors with NFPA 69. Combustible dust, gases and vapors produced in industrial settings can pose a significant safety hazard.NFPA 69: Standard on Explosion Prevention Systems offers definitive guidance on explosion protection and prevention systems.
